A socio-academic institution with a differenceAlmost three decades back, in a remote corner of West Bengal, a group of people led by M Nurul Islam came together and dared to walk in an untraveled path. They wanted to transform the lacklustre minority community into a vibrant and throbbing one. They were absolutely certain that education was the only tool to uplift the morale of the whole community and make a turnaround. Thus, Al-Ameen Mission came into being. The Mission withstood many rough weathers and held its head high. More than 20 thousand students have gone through the rigorous training of the Mission and so many of them are glorifying the society at present through their works and actions.
A seed which was planted in a remote village have now grown into a gigantic tree and is still growing. It has now 67 institutes including 41 residential campuses spread throughout West Bengal and neighbouring states of Assam and Jharkhand with more than 12 thousand students.
Al-Ameen Mission has become a well-known name for the excellence in the field of education in the state.As a result of this it has been awarded The Telegraph School Award for Excellence wich the Mission shared with the South Point High School,Kolkata in 2002.

The Mission has also been awarded The Telegraph School Award for Excellence for the best academic performance in competitive examinationsn in the year 2004 and the Certificate of Honour in the year 2005 & 2006.
Begum Rokeya Puraskar
The latest feather added to the cap of Al-Ameen's Awards is the Begum Rokeya Puraskar launched by West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education, for its contribution to socio-academic upliftment of the Minority Community in W.B.
