35 years ago, some like-minded people with their effort and missionary zeal, following the model of Rama Krishna Mission, started Al-Ameen Mission, a socio-academic institution with a difference, with an objective to promote modern science education among poor and backward minority community and nourish them with special care in a residential environment. Following this ideology and concept, about a hundred institutions have come up in the state. As a result the minority students occupied 8-10% of the seats in different medical and engineering colleges. The number of minority students in different colleges and universities has increased too. Among these, 60% of the students hail from the poor and downtrod den families. Already some of the students are well established throughout the country and abroad. All these triggered a movement in society in the field of education with social reforms.
Turn not your cheek away from people in scorn and pride,And walk not on earth haughtily; for God does not love anyone who Acts proudly and boastfully.Be modest in your bearing and loweryour voice; for theugliest sound is the donkey’s braying. --Al-Quran, Surah Luqman, Verse 18-19
Have you seen the one who denies the recompense? For that is the one who drives away the orphan and does not encourage the feeding of the poor. So who to those who pray [but] who are heedless of their prayer- Those who make show [of their deeds] and withhold [simple] assistance.
--Al-Qur’an, Surah Al- Ma’un, Verse- 1 to 7
